Download or create a timestamped .srt file for the video. If you need one, use the YouTube transcript downloader. Check that captions are in order and end within 40 minutes.
Check acronyms, proper names and numbers in your SRT. Written French has contractions and punctuation that can change where a voice naturally pauses.
Open the tool with English and French selected. Hear the available voices, choose one, then start the job. The queue position and progress remain available after a page refresh. Voices labeled Online send translated text to Microsoft's speech service.

Listen at scene cuts. If a sentence straddles a cut, adjust the SRT timing before starting a new job; the audio follows those timestamps.
Download the MP3 and translated SRT. Put the MP3 on your video's audio track in an editor and review synchronization. The tool generates speech from subtitles; it does not preserve original music, clone a speaker, or export a merged video.
