The Standard engine offers a broad range of languages and voices, plus speed and pitch controls. Premium provides a smaller English narration selection with speed control; pitch adjustment is unavailable for that engine. Start with Standard when language coverage is your priority, and compare Premium samples when you are choosing an English narrator.
The engines have different free word allowances. The studio shows the current limit next to your word count and on the engine controls. Check that display before generating, especially after switching engines. Daily limits and paid-plan access can also apply.
Compare the same sentence in a few voices
Filter by language and voice type, then search the sample library by name or language. A sample helps you shortlist a voice; your own script is the better test of pronunciation and pacing. Use a sentence containing a product name, a number and a typical phrase from your project.
For example: “Meet the Aurora desk lamp. It has three brightness settings and a compact base.” Listen for a clear product name, natural pauses and consistent volume. For a tutorial, favor clarity at normal playback speed. For a story, check whether the rhythm supports the mood without making the words difficult to follow.
Improve the wording before changing settings
Write for listening: use short sentences, remove repeated phrases and spell out an abbreviation when its spoken form matters. Try writing a number or date as words if the first result is ambiguous. Punctuation can help guide the rhythm, but listen to the result rather than assuming a particular pause length.
Test a short passage at the default speed, then adjust gradually. A faster voice can fit a fixed duration but may reduce comprehension; shortening the script is often a better first edit. Standard's pitch control changes the delivery, not the identity of a speaker. Use Reset to return speed and pitch to their defaults.
Keep a copy of the final script outside the tool. The studio can remember preferences in your browser, but browser storage is not a substitute for a saved project file.
Review the full audio before downloading
- Check the selected engine, voice, speed and current word limit.
- Generate the narration and listen from start to finish.
- Verify names, numbers, sentence endings and any section where the wording was changed.
- Download the available audio file and import it into your editor. Confirm timing against the visuals before publishing.
For longer work, divide the script into coherent sections so that revising one sentence does not require replacing every passage. Keep the voice and settings consistent between sections. Review the current plan and service terms for the usage rights that apply to your project.
