What do these queue badges mean?

Short version: they show the order jobs get picked up in — nothing else. A free job is never slowed down, throttled, or given weaker hardware. It waits for a GPU, same as every other job.

The badges, one line each

GUEST Not signed in. Runs in the free lane, first-come first-served.
FREE Signed in, no paid plan. Free lane, first-come first-served.
PRO Paid plan (or a Day Pass / trial). Picked up before free jobs on our primary GPU.
Mention PRO A free 24-hour PRO pass, earned by posting about JollyAI on social media. It sits in the paid lane exactly like PRO for those 24 hours, then the account goes back to free. Earn one here.
⚡ PRO SPEED A one-time free priority pass attached to your account. Your first job skips the queue exactly like a paid one — no card, no plan, nothing to click. One per account, and once it is used the badge stays on that job so you can see where it went.

Why there is a queue at all

JollyAI runs on our own GPUs, in our own room — not on rented cloud capacity that scales up when it gets busy. A modern video model occupies an entire card for minutes at a time, so a fixed number of jobs can physically run at once. Everything else waits. That is the whole reason a queue exists.

The cards do not split their attention either — each one runs a single job start to finish, which is why a job that is actually running finishes at full speed regardless of your tier.

How jobs get ordered

The GPU badges on the queue (🎮 GPU 1, 🎮 GPU 2) are not decoration — the two lanes have different pick-up rules, and that is what stops the free queue from sitting behind paid traffic all day.

GPU 1 — paid-first lane

PRO→FREE

Takes paid jobs first. When there are none queued, it takes free jobs — which, on a normal day, is most of the time.

GPU 2 — free-first lane

FREE→PRO

Leads with free jobs. It only steps in to help with paid jobs when the paid queue has itself been waiting too long.

The anti-starvation rule. Any free job that has been waiting longer than a set limit (currently about 20 minutes) is promoted ahead of paid jobs until it runs. A free job cannot be permanently stuck behind paid traffic — the system is built to make that impossible, not merely unlikely.
When free waits do get long: it is because every GPU is genuinely busy — usually a run of long video jobs — not because free jobs are being held back. You can watch it happen live on the queue: the ⏱ timer next to each job is the real wait, shown for paid and free jobs alike, to everyone.

Straight answers

Are free generations deliberately slowed down?
No. There is no artificial delay, no reduced GPU, no throttle. The only thing a paid plan changes about speed is when your job gets picked up.

Do paid jobs run on better hardware?
No. Both lanes are dedicated GPUs and the same models run on both.

Can PRO users flood the queue?
Paid plans have daily caps too, and the anti-starvation rule above applies no matter how many paid jobs are queued.

Why show the badges at all?
So the ordering is visible instead of hidden. If your job is behind something, you can see exactly what, and for how long.
