Compare structure before style
Check the outline, number of components and contact with the surface. Then inspect material, colour and fine details. Finally judge the new background or lighting. This order catches errors that can be hidden by a dramatic colour grade or a small preview.
Text and logos deserve a separate check. If exact typography is required, retain or rebuild it using an appropriate conventional editing workflow rather than trusting a generative result to reproduce every character.
A practical approval pass
- View the source and output side by side at similar scale.
- Inspect important edges, seams, handles and reflections at a closer zoom.
- Confirm that the requested change happened without unrelated redesign.
- Preview the image in its actual placement, including mobile crops and overlays.
Example restrained edit brief
Preserve the product's exact shape, colours, seams and fittings. Change only the background to a softly lit grey studio. Keep the original camera angle and realistic contact shadow. Do not add text, accessories or decorative objects.
Keep a publishable record
Save the approved image separately from rejected drafts and keep its source and prompt. If it will become a video input, inspect the margins and hidden edges before animation. For commercial use, review the relevant service and model licence terms rather than assuming all open-weight models share the same permissions. Quality approval and usage rights are separate checks, and neither is established merely because an image downloaded successfully.
