Describe the light physically

Specify where the light comes from and whether it is soft or hard. “Warm light from a large window on the left” gives a clearer target than “make it cinematic.” Keep the subject's material and shape stable unless changing them is the actual purpose of the edit.

For product work, relighting should not invent a glossy finish on a matte item. Compare highlights and texture with the source so the new atmosphere does not misrepresent the product.

Build the edit

  1. Upload a clear image with visible subject edges.
  2. Describe the replacement setting and one main light direction.
  3. Ask for consistent contact shadows and reflections.
  4. Review the subject, support surface and background as one composition.

If the bag looks cut out, clarify the table contact and light direction. If highlights erase texture, ask for softer illumination rather than more dramatic contrast. Save the approved still and the original together. This workflow produces an edited image; any slideshow or comparison wipe used to present it is a separate editing step, not model-generated video motion.
